Project Abweiler - New construction of 2 detached houses

New construction of two detached houses in Abweiler, municipality of Bettemburg
New Meta sàrl was commissioned by a private client with all service phases according to HOAI/OAI.
The contract includes the planning through to the turnkey construction of the two detached houses.
The client's high requirements in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency were taken into account during the planning phase. Energy for heating and hot water is generated using near-surface geothermal energy and a highly efficient geothermal heat pump. This is supplemented by a photovoltaic system on the roof (approx. 30 m²). This generates electricity on site in a sustainable and cost-efficient way. The surplus electricity, particularly in the summer months, can be used to cool the house or alternatively fed into the public power grid.
The building shell is made of Poroton bricks from Wienerberger. Poroton is an innovative building material that has proven itself in recent decades thanks to its high efficiency and environmental friendliness in house construction.
After obtaining the necessary building permits, the finalisation of the implementation planning is currently taking place in coordination with the client. Construction of the two detached houses is scheduled to begin in autumn 2024.
Pilate project - new construction of 6 terraced houses

New construction of six detached houses in Montée Pilate, Luxembourg-Eich
Shortly before the start of the construction phase, New Meta was commissioned to support the client and provide local construction supervision. In addition, New Meta was consulted for various technical and economic issues.
Due to the particular slope, a deep foundation was required for reasons of stability. This was realised using micropiles in accordance with DIN EN 14199. The so-called "Berliner Verbau" (soldier pile wall shoring) was used as shoring.
Due to the very central and urban location, only a small construction site area was available on site for storage, assembly and work. This resulted in an increased coordination effort during execution.
The single-family homes were completed at the end of 2023 and handed over to the buyers ready for occupancy.
Kleinbettingen project - refurbishment of an apartment block

Refurbishment of an apartment block in Kleinbettingen, municipality of Steinfort
More than 10 years ago, an extension was added to an existing apartment block. After a short time, water damage appeared in various parts of the new extension and mould started to form in many places as a result.
New Meta was commissioned by the client to first identify the cause of the damage and then to coordinate and monitor the professional refurbishment. To this end, offers were obtained from various specialised trades and commissioned after evaluation. The trades involved were then instructed and were continuously monitored by New Meta during the course of execution. Coordination and instructions were always carried out in close consultation with the client.
The client also wanted the entire façade to be renovated, so the façade renovation was also put out to tender, commissioned and supervised by New Meta.
The entire professional refurbishment will be completed in summer 2024.
